Seriously... 1/10th electric 4WD is staging a pretty mighty comeback, from national events all the way down to clubs. A year ago it was non-existant and now it's a very prevelant class at all 3 of the clubs I race at. At one club, it's actually the 2nd most popular class, only trailing 2WD stock buggy (but eclipsing mod buggy, stock truck, and mod truck).

Think about the contenders we have in the market now:

- JConcepts BJ4 (who I hold responsible for the revitalization)

- X Factory X-5 (I'm not a fan of the chassis configuration, but the people who drive this sucker LOVE it for its weight distribution and durability)

- Kyosho Lazer ZX-5

- MRC Academy SB Pro

- Losi XXX-4 G+ (I love mine!!!)

- Yokomo MR-4BC Super Dog Fighter 2

I know I left a few of the exotics out (Durango, Predator), but regardless, 4WD is back in 1/10th... so let's get a shootout RCCA!

Pic up a copy of Dirt, the have a shootout between many top drivers, and their "actual" rides. It's a good starting point.

Add the TL-01B and DF-02, you know, just too see their worth.

Negatory ;)

I wouldn't want to see a shootout between a Ferrari and a Prelude.

I would like to see one also. I just got my Lazer ZX-5 in the other day and I like it. It only took about 4 hours to assemble the car the 1st time. It's really easy to put together and work on.

How does it drive? There are a few at the tracks that I go to but I haven't seen them run firstand.

I love my DF-02 Gravel Hound. It's a nice design, BEEOOOOOOtifully balanced, sturdy as all hell, and a slick body. and cheap to boot. :)

It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'....

ok, except when the motor melts, but that wasn't the buggy's fault.
