Can I modify a servo to turn continuously in one direction? I would prefer to do this to a digital servo if possible. Thanks for the help! JK

are you doing this to prank or get back at someone? Why would you want it to automatically steer one direction?

BTW, i dont think a lot of people like helping someone that doesnt appreciate their help. What I mean by that is...

"Thanks for the help! JK"

No this is not a prank and is a serious question looking for a serious reply. I'm also not sure what you meant by appreciating help.

yes you can, i have a link for it somewhere when i run across what you want to do i'll link to it. it requires a bit of modification to the servo itself but it can be done.

People who are in rock crawling usually do that for the winch..

Do you want to operate the servo as you would a motor/speed controller combo?

This is commonly known as "servo hacking." Generally, analog servos are easier to modify than digital servos. The potentiometer is locked in place or replaced with resistors. The mechanical stops in the servo are removed.

Some servos are easier to hack than others. Which servo did you have in mind?

PS. Google will bring up a load of information on hacking servos.

I wasn't am not commited to any type of servo. It needs to be strong and durablebut not amazing. Just need to be able to wind in a single direction without the servo returning to its original (center) position. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts.
