For the people who get snow where they live, what r/c are you running? I think running on snow and ice is great fun :D
I run a beat up Tamiya tl-01. It's waterproofed and I already tested it a few times. It runs great and "drifts" like crazy. I'll post a pic in the next couple of days.

I used to run my RC10GT, Buggy, 4-Tec... now I have upgraded to a Revo. It is getting a few parts installed and needs to be sealed up but that should be done in the next few days. We are in the process of getting 3-5 inches so I can't wait...

Well I'm a wimp, and even though I don't get snow were I live in CA I try not to run in bad weather. Thats one of the main reasons I got my Carpet Knife. When the weather is crumming i.e. rain, I just run inside at my LHS and track. When I run the GT in bad weather, which which usually don't unless its a big race, I just water proof it by bagging the servos/receivers with balloons to keep mud and water from destroying the electronics. Thats always fun until I need to clean it up later :D

Just my snowblower, no rc's are run in bad weather. If I had a rc Snowmobile or Artic Cat (that Kyosho sold once) that would be the only vehicles I'd run in wet weather.

I used too but after a while I noticed that I started to have small problems and then large problems with my vehicles. So now I just put them up for the winter.

I dont' have anything ready right now. But I used to run a GRasshopper and Futaba Fx10 in the snow. The GRasshopper had Blackfoot tires and wheels so it went good through the snow. iT was a cool little vehicle. Pretty soon I will be running a NitroQuake in the snow. It will be the biggest vehicle I will have ever driven with a radio. ANd 4X4 to boot. It should be awesome.

RC10GT and TL01. Well the nitro sedan are being driven on the sidewalks so you have a nice soft cushioning outside barrier to hit in the event of a crash. :D

I run my Savage in the snow every chance I get. I love driving in the snow. You can make a ramp anywhere, no need to haul ramps around.

I run all my rc's in the snow. My stampede when it was in running condition, my near new TL-01, my Tmaxx and when I get my Jato next weekend, I will run it in the snow. Winter time is the most fun time of the year to drive rc's.

Just to let you know, Kyosho has actually released their artic cat in both nitro and electric versions. I don't really know how you would get one unless you ordered it directly from kyosho usa, and I don't their website is completely up yet. (I haven't check recently) I'm kinda dissapointed with the way Kyosho is running things, but I'm just not buying their vehicles anymore so there yah go. Anyway, I figured I'd just add that update.

That was cool. It handled pretty well too besides the controlled donuts towards the end.
The biggest problem, obviously, is traction. So much power being put down to a slippery surface equals fish tails! I enjoy it though.

I think I like running in the snow better than anything. I run a JPS Clod. I run bushings, wrap the electronics in plastic and tape it around the plastic. I've never had a problem, the Clod runs great in the snow! The big tires and 4x4x4 action rocks! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/adrcracing/rock1.gif

ive only run my nmt in the snow once. and i wont be doing it again.
paddle tires. waterproofed radio gear. preheated the engine so i wouldnt have trouble tuning it. ran good but because i was in the montains the thin air made it hard on the engine. it just wasnt worth the hassle

I run several trucks in the snow all the time... Mostly my older Kyosho USA-1 nitro as well as my Cen MT2 and GS Storm SUT.... I do not run any electric trucks because its not worth the risk to me when I have all these nitro's... The cen mt2 is by far the most fun because of the speed but the USA -1 goes thru even the deepest snow with those giant tires...

Thats a nice lookin mini T MrCrash. When i ran my mini T in the sand by the IL river, it gliched and went straight into the river. Lol, after $100 or so...it works. Now it just sits in the basement.
It would be really easy to waterproof your car, just but the esc/reciever in a ballon. That way, your not risking a lot of money.

Hi prelude
What's your truck ? Seems quite funny
The red truck is Combatcm's.It's a CC-01 chassis(pajero chassis). My snow car is the orange TL-01 on page 1. The car now has kyosho buggy tires on it and the body is really hacked up. I also locked the rear diff with J&B weld.
I really like your truck....I bet its awesome in the snow. :D
