Would anyone know if i can update the esc if i bought a RS232-adapter cable?

Yes you can update the U-FORCE firmware via the optional cable/software.

Version 4 labelled "Dynamic overvoltage protection" is the most current firmware. It can be a very worthwhile upgrade especially for racing purposes as it charges your battery under brake. This is also useful When using 3s or 4s Lipo as the UF detects the higher voltage rating during brake allowing the new firmware to dump the voltage into the battery pack, which will in turn limit the maximum voltage the mosfets see.

That is what i wanted to hear, this is for a 1/10 scale touring car. I have not used it in months, and i remember last time i was useing it it was coging really bad.

Would someone know if the gear ratio will affect coging? :confused:

Yes, it will. The higher the gearing, the worse the cogging will be (or the more evident it will be).
