Will the Scorpion 3200 2s battery work with the GTB 5.5 setup, or will the 7.4 volts be too much for the GTB when the batt. is fully charged and fresh off the charger at around 8.5 volts?

The voltage is not a problem (which it should be 8.40v after a full charge, 8.5v is too high). Don't forget to use an LVC device with the Lipo so that it doesn't drop down to below 3v per cell.

The scorpion battery has a built in LVC device within the pack I think. So no need for an external one.

(Duh). Silly me, I just saw Lipo, not that it was Scorpion. But, the LVC in the pack needs to be utilized :).
