Hey guys and gals.
Iv'e decided to get myself a GR2 electric Revo off Mike http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=RCM_G2R_ROLLER&cat=11 which will only be used for bashing and the occasional friendly race.I would like a set up that's got a good turn of speed and more important for bashing wheelie popping torque and run time.

Now iv'e dealt with Mike ( RC Monster ) and Jamie (Starluck ) before with great advice and service from both.

Iv'e narrowed my choise down to the Mtroniks Truck controller as i will only be using either 12 x 4200 mah Nimh cells or a 4s lipo pack , my predicament comes in choise of motor and thought you guys that have run both can help me out.
I can't decide between the Feigao 540C-9L http://www.starluckrc.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_28_59&products_id=133 or the BK 8XL http://www.rc-monster.com/products.php?cat=125.

Now i think the 8Xl will have more torque because of it's larger can but i like the fact that the 9L has a built in heatsink and removable enbells for bearing replacement/maintenance. Will both be similar in runtime and will the 9L have enough torque for the wheelie popping bashing i'm looking for .

Cheers

The 8XL should provide more runtime, since it's slower. But, you would have to gear up to get the same speed as the 9L. The 9L will have enough power to pull wheelies. I would probably choose the 9L over the 8XL.

Why aren't you considering the 7XL, too?

Thanks mate , i'm definately leaning more towards the 9L for my application, just wasn't sure about it's torque.

Cart213 , the only reason i'm not considering the 7xl is the run time factor , i know it's super fast on 12 cells but the run time on it is much less than either the 9L or 8XL.
I know guys running it on 3300 cells and are getting around 15 mins , were there a guys running the same batteries with the 9L and getting around 25 mins.

Cool.
How have you found the 10L and how many cells are you using , also have you noticed the GR2 Revo being a bit nose heavy even with the batteries pushed back as far as they can go on that chassis.
