Has anyone actually driven both of these trucks? If so, what is your impressions of handling differences?

I have a LST, it has awesome handling abilities. It will out turn any big truck. I have never driven a revo but seen them run. It looks like they have sharper turn-in and tighter cornering abilities.

You think a Savage is faster than a Revo?! Your Revo must have problems if a Savage will outrun it. LST 2 is a nice truck. With a nice price!

But i just think they wanted the extra money......The Revo CAn turn almost truck a 90* turn Without going wide. And it can stop on a dime..And its really really really fast.

I have an LST not the 2 and have drive like 3 revos, the power on the stock revo feels a little underpowered, the lst power is awesome. The only time had the opportunity of driving a revo on track was equiped with a 18 tm and the direrence was a lot!! the handling is very good but I still prefer the lst handling because is much more predictable. The 2 trucks have a very similar turn ratio in stock form, I think this two are the the best handling monsters in the market. One plus for the revo is that I think it can get the tighter turns a little more quiker than the lst because its shorter wheelbase. A plus for the LST is the flying actitude it is much more predictable, if your rear goes down just a quick tap on brakes and the lst get on shape on a dime, do that with a revo and youŽll end on your lid (personal experiense). remember I am talking here about the original LST not the 2. I dont know much about the 2.
happy new year guys!

i have the lst2 and a revo look the revo is quick but the lst2 is faster quicker and runs longer and at the same time the turn in is about the same. revo turns harder but with less fell while the lst turn alil wider but you feel it the hole way. and the lst can take a beating with the updated arms. revo is good but i would say lst2. but it is all up to you as i would take my madforce hyper.21 over them all but thats just me

I have owned 2 Revos since they where originally released back in the day, then when I got my first LST the Revo's went. The Revo isn't really under-powered, for track use the power delivery is very smooth and controllable, but if your bashing then it will leave you wanting more. The LST is quite the opposite, the power delivery is explosive yet with the well balanced and heavier weight it doesn't make the truck un-controllable, its just right and great fun for bashing too! Handling wise the Revo does feel more responsive, more nimble. But for me the LST handles better, it might not have that little extra response but the handling is so much more predictable and linear. Bump handling goes to the LST aswell, due to the heavier weight it remains so much more planted through the rough stuff.
Overall - LST anyday of the week, drive one and you wont think twice. My only advise would be see if you can go for the LST2 unless you can get an LST even cheaper.

W0W!!! i think you have some problems if u think a savage would outrun a revo! my revo SMOKES my dads savage 25 LE, even when i had the 2.5 in it, i could do donuts and still get ahead of him, cuz they are sooooo slow! Or you drove a revo that wasnt broken in right, cuz if theyre broken in right, they rip!

Honestly I love my revo and what ive done with it but If the LST was bump start capable I would buy one in a second.I like the way the LST handles with the revo you can only push it so fast around the track before it gets skiddish, where the weight of the lst allows it to absolutly pound it around while still being stable.

Get a supermaxx, and you'll never want anything ever again!! Just kidding:)
I had a revo and i like the stock motor in it. the power to weight was just right and it did seem to take a licking evertime I messed up and hit objects. I sold my revo, not because I didn't like it but rather because I thought it was to complex for me to work on. I like the simplicity of the T-maxx (UE Supermaxx) and the LST seems to have the simplicity also. I've only seen them at the track or in my LHS but you can immediately see that it's very easy to work on. I can't say that I've driven and LST but the size does seem very imposing and commanding. i wouldn't mind testing one.

I def say lst2. I have a lst2 and it's great. I drove my friends revo after we broke them in together and i thought it was twitchy. The lst2 was amazingly stable and i thought turned as tight as the revo. There is also the astonishing power difference between the revo and the lst2.

Here's a point that nobody here has mentioned yet: If you still undecided between all of these really good oppinions, the Revo comes with an AM 3 channel radio, while the LST2 comes with a 3 channel SYNTHESIZED Radio. What this means is that the Revo radio is basically cheap and not very good for tracks and has a big pissibility of loosing its' signal, while the LST2 radio is very good and is PERFECT for both racing and bashing. I think I just talked myself into purchasing an LST2, but wait the Hellfire is coming and that looks very very promising!!!

another thing you may want to consider here is the revo comes with a .15 engine , the LST2 a BB . power difference , I think so , now throw say a BB in the revo , well , now your talking , I own a BB revo and love it , I just ordered an LST2 and will let ya all know after break in ;)

I currently purchased the LST2 back in early december '05. However I haven't put a drop of fuel in it. I have completely dissassembled it so I can build it to the DRAKE setup.
I was in the same boat as you.......and had to make the same decision. I viewed the options of how much money I would spend on the REVO to get it like I would want a race MT to be, as opposed to how much I would spend on the LST2. When I came up with the monetary amount on the two. I chose the LST2 and am spending $450 less to get it setup for me.

Thanks all. I am leaning toward the LST because of the radio and its future expandability. What is the Drake set-up? I have read people trying to set it up but never could figure out what it was.
