It should slip for about two feet under full throttle from a start.

Just check it when you first run it... it will become obvious at that point if it's too loose. Just adjust it so you can tell is does indeed slip a little under full throttle starts... a couple feet like Speedy said is normal. This will protect the drivetrain from damage. In low traction conditions you might want to loosen it more as a tuning option.

Thank you for the respnse. How do I know that the thing is slipping.I don't really understand what you mean by "slipping"
Thanks!

You'll hear the motor wind up- a high pitched slipping sound. Its sounds to me like your slipper is too loose. I'd make it so you cant turn it with your fingers.

Try it on carpet where the traction is really good, maybe even hold your foot in front of the car so it can't move... and you will hear the sweet sound of slippers slipping.

If the sound is a nice smooth high pitch whine... that's the slipper.

If it sounds gritty and harsh, kinda like a cordless drill clutch, that's not good... that's a ball diff slipping. We call diff slippage "barking" btw. Diffs make a louder harsher sound.

If this all sounds confusing, etc... don't worry... just give it a try. If it doesn't seem to slip, make noise,... loosen the slipper nut until it does. Then tighten it a little until you only hear it slip for a couple feet or so on take off.

Mamba? I don't have a take... I'm still waiting for them to get me one. ;)

I think it will be a really good 1/10 unit and I HOPE it's an awesome big-car controller. My 1/8 really wants something better than what is currently on the market.
