i cant beleve there is no one posting in here.?? you guys with the x-factors must really be running the crap out of them..LOL!
i'm in the prosses of trading for the v1. xfactor truck hope it goes through!!! i love the suspesion on it...
I like the idea of the xfactor has the 4link suspesion, but not to crazy about were the servos are mounted...so i'm think up a custom steering with hydralic steer useing shocks for the cylinders, and the servo to control one of the shock's...fuel lines for the hydro lines, fuel fittings(2 per shock) for the cylinders...fuel tank for the resovoir...the shocks would have to be modified(pistons)to a sold piston with a grove around the outter diameter of the piston, and then placed with a orings around the piston were the grove is to seal up any blow by of the fluid... this would elimit the location of the steering servo ,and would allow you to mount the servo/cylinder on the chase...this would be a trick setup on any mt truck...if it works!!! i'm going to try it as soon as i get the truck in my hands... hope it works!!! i'll post my project on here...PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR TESTING...

Seems like a wheelie machine on the XXX main videos.
But seems to float the suspension around to much (like it needs sway bars)

not sure??? as i don't have one as of yet! the most i herd about was the slip yoke on the drive shaft's coming apart on the v1. truck, but i've read someware that they fix that problem on the v 2. x-factor...I always was leaning tword's getting tamyia's txt 1
but i'm not into electric 4x4 trucks...then they came out with this one :x-factor (nitro)..,and kept telling myself to wait till they worked out all or most of the bug's of this truck...well so far all i have herd are good thing's about the v 2. x-factor so now it's in the bugget for a new or used v.2 (it is not a race truck) well atleast i don't think so...i'm sure with some custom mods done to this truck it could be but all and all i feel that it's an all out(monster truck) not a racing(traxxas) revo....so please do not compare the two...because If i'm right! that was not the consept of the x-factor....
just my 2 cents...

I have a X-Factor-2 it is not a race truck what it is,is a scale down version of a real 1/1 scale four link monster truck. They have worked all the bugs out of the first one with this one. This truck is a fun rock crawlling, hard bashing have fun nitro truck. Nitro trucks dont make the best rock crawlers, but if you do some regearing you can have a lot fun crawlling with it. Ive added reverse and wheelie bar and maxx axel adaptors so I can use maxx type wheels. One more thing I would recommend getting the larger heatsink head offered by XTM it helps get the engine temps under control, I live Tucson Ariz and I need all the help with engine temps that I can get and that head works great. Also I added four more shocks, I remover the pushrods for the shockrocker and replaced with four more shocks , gives unbeileivable articulation. If you have any ? feel free to ask.

any tips or trick to keeping that 24.7 cooler on the rock crawl's???iI was thinking of a PC water cooling set up with a custom water cooled head..I have a freind working on a cpu water cooler for a radiator/head as of yesterday.water pump still in the works too...not sure what it's going to cost me ether.not worried about the price.just want a more realistic crawl with out over heating that engine...plus the added weight up front couldn't heart ether.

Sorry I took so long to answer, I was out of town for a few months. I bought the larger head that comes on the 24.7 pro, my X-Factor-2 come with the smaller head and I would have to stop every few minutes to let it cool down before running again, I dont have to with the large head. I bought mine on e-bay for I think I paid like fifteen dollars for it new.
I dont remember what size the hexes that came with it, I gave mine to someone that needed them when I put the modified hexes to fit the maxx's wheeles. I will check and see if I have any extras in my part bin tomorrow and let you know.

I would lean towards a Kyosho MAd Force if your looking for a straight axel truck...nice hop-ups form RC4WD and New Era..not sure what is available for this truck...

Well I have an X factor 2 and I love it. It is fun and for what I thought it would be it still moves quick. I don't think that 35 for a rockcrawling rc is too bad. It does have it's problems just like with any other nitro r/c. But I love it. It goes over curbs with no problems and it does come with sway bars. I have yet to flip it ovet on a turn when I am just bashing in a parking lot. But if you remove the sway bars you get more articulation. But you still get pretty good articulation with the sway bars on. If you want it specifically for crawling as in under 5 miles an hour. You could always switch it over to electric. people who crawl specifically use the Xfactor alot the design is great. I like crawling and parking lot bashing that is why I have kept it nitro. Which is serious fun. Hopefully this helped answer any questions if you have any more just shoot me a pm.
