2005 proved to be a great year for the Paint and Body Forums. Weve had more participation than in previous years. Weve lost a few painters and gained a few more. The talent continues to grow and the gracious attitude toward our fellow enthusiast is unrivaled.
This years schedule for the Best Paint Competition will be slightly different than last years. Learning from the previous year, 2006 will see very few special contests. This will keep the amount of participation at a premium. So, without further ado:
January Open Paint Competition
February Open Paint Competition
March 2 Color Challenge
April Concourse (Detailed Body) Competition
May Open Paint Competition
June Open Paint Competition
July Patriots Compeition
August Concourse (Detailed Body) Competition
September Open Paint competition
October Halloween Inspired
November Open Paint Competition
December Concourse (Detailed Body) Competition
This schedule is not set in stone. Im more than willing to add a few special competitions or change the existing schedule. If you have ideas, feel free to post them. The ultimate goal of this year is to continue learning from one another and keep having fun.

Explanations of Special Competitions:
March 2 Color Challenge: A maximum of two colors can be used (including trim color). Mixing of colors is prohibited. However, backing with different colors is highly encouraged. Let your imagine run free with this challenge.
July Patriots Competition: Show your pride, heritage, and/or patriotism with your paint. All paint schemes must show some sort of homage to the home or heartland. National and state flag themes are a great start, as are national emblems, landmarks, national/state animals/past times, heck, even sports teams. Keep an open mind and be creative.
October Halloween Inspired: This is probably the easiest of all competitions for ideas. Let Halloween inspire your work.
Concourse (Detailed Body) Competitions: Quite simply, put as much detail into the body as possible. This includes not only paint, but added features like tail pipes, rear view mirrors, seating, dash boards, etc.

also what about the movie/video game theme inspiration contest? i thought that was a awesome idea?
also what about concourse d' redneck contest, paint the most hidious body?(it wouldnt be a waste of a body, just use it to bash around, lol)
also what about a contest where u can paint your body anyway u like but u have to use xxx main glue(or a elmer's glue solution) to paste a pic inside the body, this idea would be endless, u can paste a pic of your girlfriend, dog, favorite singer, etc if i come up with any more ideas i would pass them along, thanks!

Piggy,
Are the colors going to be set in stone on this one, or will it be painters choice? Just want to get some clarification so as to get some practice in.

2nd, painters choice on which two colors.
Fes and Goofy, I like the idea of using picture glue, however, it does make it very restrictive for the pros who rely on strictly paint for their livelihood.

Good Job. I like the idea of the two colours allowed. It will be interesting to see the outcome. The idea of the best flames could work well because everyone loves flames. Thanks Piggy for running these competitions.

i understand where u are coming from 100% but that would make the contest different....i think using the xxx main glue would be fun and curious to see what turns out.it would give people a challenge to kinda do something a little different.
also i have a ? for the 2 color scheme paint contest, can u use xxx main internail graphics to seperate the colors?or any thing similair sticker wise????thanks

I understand it as being 2 colors only on the surface, but basically unlimited colors to back with.
Piggy, looking for confirmation here.

I was Really hoping for a 3 color challenge......
Now that cheating, because good artest can make any color they want to make. Think color wheel on this one.
mixing was not allowed....only 2 hues may touch the lexan...
besides, it was over two months ago
