View Full Version : 4 stroke
Has anybody put a 4stroke engine in a t-maxx?
Does a 4stroke engine run on nitro?
And what size?

well rc nitro put a 4-stroke in a maxx. u would need the .40 cause u generally need to double the out put when u go w/a 4-stoke over a 2-stroke. i dont beleive that O.S makes the .40 car engine anymore.the 4-strokes use nitro but u r ganna have to do research on the .40 to try to find1. plus i heard probs about clutches frying from the motor and u need diff motor mounts so if ur lookin for a direct drop in forget the 4-stroke. the 1 main main advantage of a 4-stroke is the torque they produce but they dont rev high so u dont have the speed u would w/a .21 2-stroke

the 2.5r is just a 2.5 with a different head lol, yeah, .18tm is the best choice for a tmaxx, youll have rocket acceleration, but is pushing insane, the rb is just wayyyyyyyy to much power, if you bash the rb may appeal to you, because spinning the tires all the time and wheelies just add to the fun!
I thought the 2.5r had different porting.
Bashing is all I do.
