Radio control link

Hi any one out there heard of connecting the aerial to a coax cable and connecting the other end to the reciver
I will use a Umbilical line to supply power and control as well as using it ti recive a video link
I would like to hear from anyone that has done this,

It would help if we knew what you were doing, and to what. Moving the antenna from the R/C radio transmitter, or a video system, or?? There are a number of things that could make it a bit more than 'simple', and without knowing exactly what you want to do, I'm hesitant to say anything (chicken).
