No, all of the boating forum sites are slowing down at this time of year which is kind of unusual as now is the time that those of us in the snow belt are building new boats for the upcoming season. I just picked up another hull last Saturday but shopping around for the right parts for it. This one I might try to see how it would do for SAW competition but waiting for a new engine to come out right now.

I hope your right Ron. Its all we have right now. Im boatless at the moment, moved from the uk to the usa on the 8th nov, so waiting for green card so i can start work and get a new boat running. I never knew how much i would miss the sundays at the lake until now. Anything to keep the sport alive can only be a good thing. The one mistake i have made in my move here, is seeling my boats and boat stuff. Should have brought them all with me. :(

Being from the UK you know how it is to have frozen water and a new boat waiting for the water to get liquid again. It's unusual for us to have open water this time of the year. Last Friday it got up to 50 degrees but dropped Friday night back into the low 30's. This weekend they're predicting snow again and maybe a lot of it. The water levels are up from having snow earlier, around Christmas time so that did help the ponds.

To quote Burkey..... "I never knew how much i would miss the sundays at the lake until now."
Bro', if you only knew how I feel. :( The bad part is I still have 9 months left & when I get back home in Oct, the water will start getting hard & it will be another 6 months after that before really getting out. Figure roughly 17 months away from boats. :( :( :(

yeah you right m8 ...since you moved over to the USA there hasnt being much boat action down the lake...my BONZI BOAT is still in bits, ive orderd a DRAGCAT but i wont be ready till march...yeah im missing the lake too,got a week holidays soon will try and rebuild my BONZI FOUNTAIN ....nearly bout a boat on jims rc boats (BLAST CAT) but its the high shipping cost over to the uk thats killed buying the blast cat...would have been ideal, BLAST CAT for the choppy water and the DRAGCAT for the smooth... :D :D

One degree above freezing here in East Anglia and the water was glass smooth at the weekend - a "bootiful" day to quote Bernard Matthews. (Sorry UK "joke" that Burkey 1000 will understand).

hmm - all the lakes are frozen here. Haven't boated since September. That's the bad thing about RC boating - it is only doable 1/2 to 2/3 of the year.
I think I'm suffering from rc withdrawl
