i have just bought a dx6 transmitter it is my first transmitter and i am a little confused on how to set it up to run a 3 channel plane, i am use to the rudder and elevator being controlled by the right side flight stick, and the throttle on the left one, well the way it is setup out of the box the left stick is controlling the rudder and throttle , so i was wondering if someone could explain to me how to set it up to where the elevator and rudder are on the right stick and have just throttle on the left one, i know i should be able to read the manual and fig it out but i must be dumber than i originally thought because i am totally lost, if someone could help me out it would be very much appreciated

Hi,
Just plug the rudder servo into the aileron socket and you will have rudder/elevator on the right stick, with only throttle on the left.

i have another question about the charger that comes with the dx6, there are two sets of wires, one that charges the transmitter and another with what looks like a battery charging plug of somekind , does anyone know what the second wire on the charger is for? thanx

Hi,
The second wire should have a plug that fits the battery. Normally the charger will be marked with the current that goes to the batteries. Each of them should be 50-60 ma. No manual?

Hello Alan,
It should be the receiver battery charging wire. Either the receiver battery will plug directly into it, or there is a charging lead coming from the switch harness that will plug into it. Actually, most switch assemblys have a provision for charging the battery when the switch is turned off, and the battery is plugged into the switch.

Hi all, I'm the Newbe. I run a DX6 on an Esky home brew Heli. Currently I have disabled the drive shaft, and have installed a small brushless motor for the tail. Does anyone else know how to find tune this awesome radio so the rudder and gyro function with more precision?

I have it so it will fly, and lock on heading, for the most part, but I have to set rudder trim to -30 to start off with before the receiver, gyro, and both ESC Brushless controllers arm. Then after they all arm, I move the rudder trim to 0, so the tail rotor just is spinning. That is the only way I can seem to be able to get it to fly without imitating a Frisby

I tried to set the RVU, RVD, but the gyro refuses to arm when that is set. Must be a CHEAP GWS gyro.

Can anyone help, or do I need to just keep experimenting?
