HI everyone i need some advice on choosing a motor for my shockwave 36
it has a 32 dynamite motor at the moment and i want to know if the os 46 motor will be ok for this boat :cool: thanks

That os 46 has way too much torque for that size of hull.

Every one thinks about strapping a bigger motor on a smaller hull = more speed; wrong!!

More headaches is what you end up with, that hull will handle like a pig on castors..


Plus all that torque will pull it to the starboard side , , the hull will leave the water for sure.

A few things you must consider ;ie size of the hull. wheight of hull and the power of your motor, add these together with carfully placing them together and combined with the right C/G and you got a winner.

cmb ;) 21 valvola you will see your hull move with that bad boy in it.

36!!! not at all.
you want to go fast make the lake boil =os 21vz-m or cmb 21 valvola.

The boats that are fast are made bespoke one offs! now that will cost you big bucks. ;)
but take it from me when you got the skill to drive one ..go get one.

one rule of thumb here: hide the receipts from the wife or girlfriend
