Do most of you guys cut out the front windshield completely to allow cool air to the engine. I just got a new body for my 2.5 tmaxx and don't really want to hack it up yet. Do you think drilling a bunch of holes (about 3/8"-1/2") in the windshield would cool the motor as good. I have seen it done a couple of times and I think it looks better than cutting out the windshield

depends on what body you have. do you have a suv or pickup body?

I just got the special edition tmaxx body from traxxas, do you think drilling holes throughout the windshield would do the same as cutting out the windshield

I run Atomik bodies on my Tmaxxes. They have an insert that's clear and one piece - front and back windshield. I cut both the front and the back windshield out of the insert and then shoe goo it into the shell to provide added strength for rollovers or when you land on the lid. I get plenty of cooling air across the engine head this way.
You will not get the same air flow from holes as cutting the windshield completely out, unless you're taking about 1.5" size holes. If you're planning on just drilling a bunch of little holes, drill up one of the side windows too. That will help air flow. Be sure and get plently of holes front and back inline with the motor head.

you can do that, buy isnt necesary, try to run it with out holes or cutting the windshield, and see what happen.

yea what Racing t said. i prefer not to cut out the windows because it makes it look hacked up unless its a suv body then i cut a few side windows out

thanks for all the advice guys, I have an atomik body for my tmaxx that I left the window dome completely out, I also have the stock body that I hacked the front and back windshield up pretty good. I just got this new tmaxx body and don't want to cut into this one. I just didn't know if many nitro guys ran there trucks with no holes cut in the windshields
