Yes, It's me again, the guy that can't yet make a decision. I really need your help. Here's the deal. My Birthday is March 6, so I am getting a truck before then. I am so close to making a decision. Your feedback is great.

So lets trim it down. Bottom Line, lets talk $$$$$$$$$

REVO-$450
HellFire-$615
CEN Genesis-???
WAR HEAD-$450

Thats the list I am interested in. The question is,

Which is better in the following areas ?
Maintenence
Hop Up Availability
Versatility
Pure Quality Construction
Manufacturer Support
Overall Best Value

Any info you guys can give will be appreciated and used for decision making.
Thank you all so much.

Even tho im a savage and revo fan.. I was talking to my lhs about the warhead and they said the sold 20 in the past month.. And the dont even stock parts for it besides spur gear.. I think everyone will eventually own a warhead those truck are really versitile in racing and bashing.. just my 2 cents for the day

Bigjames the only thing that I can tell you is I got the MGT 4.60 SE for a Christmas gift I love it this is the only RC truck/car I ever had it's a good time. My buddy bought a WARHEAD let me tell you he could kick himself in the ass. And it won't be a soft kick. The WARHEAD was JUNK from right out of the box. Servos were all messed up tooked back. brought home another one could keep it running took it back to the hobby store the TECH. could not keep it running so he brought home yes a third one and like I said he still would kick himself. I love my MGT 4.60 SE

Like how were the servos messed up like not working correctly or shifting , braking/apling throttle wrong , and steering the incorrect way cause those are easy fixes , or just buy better ones to run with , cause not every one wants the Mgt , but yeah if you are to race revo or hellfire , I also here the revo is a good basher , but with the genisis the front a-arms are super weak .

I would say go with the Revo because it has a ton of aftermarket upgrades available for it and most hobby shops stock parts for it. I just bought an HPI Savage a few weeks back for that reason plus it was a kit and was only $400. Dont buy the Warhead or any others unless you LHS stocks parts for it.

I would go with the truck that your local hobby shop carries parts for and the one that you find the most information on the net. I had the same problem, but mine was between a revo and a TNX pro for racing. Even though my shop carries no TNX parts i went with it because i didnt hear anything bad about it and i heard lots of bad stories about the revo. Just do some research online. How bout a savage. They are releasing the new Savage X this month

You could buy a Jammin CRT for less than $615 ... the Jammin X1 CRT rtr is a much better buy at this time. Waaaay more parts available, way more trick hopups, a LOT more race testing and setup info available, and ... Im rather confident the CRT is far more durable a basher.

I got to drive a Hellfire yesterday, I broke a front shock shaft and ripped the bolt holding the shock to the lower a arm off in a very medium avg everyday hit off a double jump. It has no wing and flies real nose heavy [this guys setupo anyway]. My CRT has take a zillion hits 3x harder than anything i gave this guys hellfire which I was babying ...

With the crt - you get 4 of the BEST shocks being made right now for the 1/8th scale - the Jammin Big Bore's ...

The current bqatch of HPI rtr hellfire engines are having rear main bearing problems - HPI is replacing them likkity split - but .. who needs that headache.

The Hellfire is a great vehicle ... very nimble and agile - better on power steering IMHO than the CRT ... But I think in its current form Hellfire has some durability issues.

The revo .... They can be real nice - but to get them there you are going to keep spending $$$$ .... Im not a big fan of transmissions ... adds complexity and yet another point of failure, thats totally unneccesary.

I say the Jammin CRT - PRO or RTR is THE best TRUCK for the $$$ you can get right now, IF .. you are even considering a Hellfire ... or a Revo.

I own a CRT ... but I own it to Bash it .. I race a truggy of my own design ... so Im not just giving you my opinion cuz I own it and a FANBOY for the CRT ...

hmm never ever had a problem with any savage/mgt transmisions! I've had center diffs blow! Truggys are for racing period! there is a reason why truggies are slammed to the ground and monsters have ground clearance you don't see to many 1/8 buggies bashing around because the lcg gets hung up on rocks and **** and causes the engine to stall if your only options are the ones above get the revo if not go savy/mgt/lst all great.

I think the revo is the best out of all those categories except for overall best value, which I think goes to the genesis.

The genesis costs a bit more than the revo (like around 550-570 ish) but you get a high quality radio, a failsafe, and a big bad truck. you could easily spend over 700 dollars for a truck and a comparable radio with any others (except the lst which i think also comes with a nice fm radio).

you'll be getting a truck that not too many other people have, but that does work both ways.
