Hey everyone, I just learned that the Kingston RC Club, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada is hosting its second annual Dawn Patrol. Last year this event was similar to the old Rhinebeck Mission event with 3 basic tasks. Bomb drop (bring your own bomb and dropper,) balloon bust, and spot landing. This year it is a big Open flying day with the field dressed up in Old Rhinebeck style. No competition but lots of fun and a beautiful, absolutely huge flying field: http://www.krcm.net/krcm_fourm/showthread.php?t=113 Take off time is August 26 2006
I'll be going for sure!
Have fun!

Last weekend, I attended the Kingston RC Club's Dawn Patrol event. All WWI and pre-WWI aircraft were welcome, and everyone had a great time. There was even a "Delsey Dive" paper ribbon cutting executed by Rolly Seimonsen and his Taube. Here are a few pix!

Hi Gerry,
I'm new to the Flyer Form and came here specifically looking for you or your article on the Hangar 9 Sopwith. I was lead here by a reference to your article, in December's MAN, which I found on RCU. Is your article downloadable in PDF? I currently subscribe to MAN but just resumed in February so I missed it. The FedEx man delivered my Sopwith last week, from an RCU seller in Arizona. It was in New in Box, excellent condition, but has been in someone's hangar for about a year. I was surprised when I saw the surface throws so I went looking for info, it being Sunday, the Horizon folks are not in.
wow this looks like fun!!
