The instructions say to allow 1/2 inch of travel plus or minus on my elevaters.whats the best way to measure this other than eyeing it up with a ruler.do they make a tool for this

There is a control deflection tool available from Great Planes but this adjustment is not that critical to go out and buy the tool unless you really want to add it to your workshop collection. Simply set the stabilizer and elevator at 0 degrees incidence and set a ruler against the trailing edge. that's good enough to get you in the air.

My rudder servo also steers the front wheel on the ground.However I ve tried to screw the set screw as tight as I can but the push rod still slides in the push rod controller

Hi,
You may need to swap in a longer screw. Often, local machine shops have a selection of metric screws if you need one.
