Parking Lot Racing in Asheville, 2006 Season!

Ok.... Racing season is back upon us!
Parking Lot Racing will start again on Saturday, March 11. Track set-up starts
at 8am, practice at about 9 and racing begins at 10.
We will be trying a new and larger 60 feet by 120 feet track layout this
season, so the March 11 race will be a completely new set-up. We need anyone
that can get there early to help with set-up.
Membership fees are due at the first race to help cover our fees with the City
of Asheville, and new track material. Race fees will remain the same, $8.00 for
members, $12.00 for non members. Kids 15 and under still race free! Memberships
are $20.00.
Racing again will be held at the Asheville Recreation Park on Gashes Creek
Road, just off Swannanoa River Road in East Asheville, next to the WNC Nature
Center.

After two false starts..... (a rain out on March 11, and a snow out on March 25...... this is spring, isn't it?)
The next scheduled Asheville Parking Lot Race is April 8.
Race starts at 10 am. New this season is more convienient power (outlets at track side, no longer do you need 100' plus of extension cords).
Also, look for more interest from those off roaders willing to let it all hang out on an asphalt road course.
Races are at the Asheville Rec Park, on Gashes Creek Road, in East Asheville.
