New, and so many to choose from

I was injured in a deer/motorcycle accident which has rendered me to my home,for a long time.
I live on a lake and well have a lot of time on my hands. I always wanted too get into RC,now i have the time. I figured that I can utulize the lake with either a boat or a plane with floats,ski's or both. I have been pouring over different sites that have to do with RC. There are so many planes. Any suggestions with what I should start with? thanks,Photographicman

I say start with A 3 channel plane. The parkzone Slow-V is a great plane. you cant put floats on it but once you get good at that you can move to a gas trainer and put floats on it. And alwalys fly three mistakes high so if you make a mistake you have have to recover without turning your plane into a kit :eek: Example of three mistakes high
