LST2 versus MGT 4.6 - which one?

Looking to purchase with the LST2 or the MGT 4.6. Looks like the MGT is less expensive but if I were to get it would I "want" for the LST2? I'm just getting into this (been doing Planes & Helis for awhile) so just wanted something to kick around with in the back yard. The LST2 seems appealing with its ability to switch to low rates for a bit slower speed but still be able to really move in high gear if I want.

You can't go wrong with either choice. I got the MGT. It was a Christmas pesent. If I was to chose for myself, I don't know for sure which I would have.As for the LST II being more expensive...the only reason this is, is because it comes with a better, FM radio.The AE MGT is an AM. The best suggestion I have would be to simply get what seems to appeal most to you. Also, pay attn to the local shops in your area and find out which ones carry parts for which truck. It would suck to go out and buy the Losi, only to find out none of the local shops carry Losi items.

well from what your describing I personally think you would like the LST2 more. just for having the low gear to do some rock crawling.. you get the best of both.. But in all fairness the MGT is a very capable monster truck.. I've got a LST2 and my buddy runs the MGT.. The goos thing is all the choices we have.. welcome to RC surface running..

LST 2 has more power,
LST 2 has better radio
LST 2 has better servos
LST 2 has two servos for steering
LST 2 has aluminum diff housings
LST 2 has a rechargeable receiver pack
LST 2 has a glow ignitor
LST 2 has better shocks

I'm tired of typing, maybe someone will point out the up side to the GT..

Well seeing as I purchased a Mini-LST earlier from a LHS I'd suspect they have the LST 2 but I'll check and see what parts they have as well.
