Ok quick question here. I need a program to try and draw a chassis up on. I need something I can download or that somebody can send me for free or very cheap price.

hahaha yea right, try $899. I work at a computer store I know. the upgrade is probably what you are seeing. unless you are not talking about something other then autodesk. Student prices are cheep but retail is not something that I would invest in just for RC

hahaha yea right, try $899. I work at a computer store on commision, and I can tell you that AutoCad lite is one of our favorite programs to sell. It is a very quick big sale, becaus no one is gona spend $900 on a program unless they already know they need it. well I have AutoCAD 2000 on dsk along with Microstation as I'm a drafter.. you are refering to AutoCAD 2000i. which is a full blown version. They do sell it as a smaller version or just try http://www.dwggateway.com/ http://www.cadopolis.com/autocadlt.asp

cadkey....you can get it at walmart

john - i can draw them for you in solidworks 06 (a solid modeling program) then create 2d drawings from the solid model as well.....if your looking for just a chassi plate layout or something email me if you want me to.... i'm glad to donate my time to rc
