I striped my steerign servo on my old savage 21, i know i was on barored time with it being plastic gears with old style servo saver. Now i have looked around but i am not sure on whats the best, i want to spend less than 100usd on a new one. i was looking at this one

Thats the one I use in my 4.6SS - great servo, plenty of torque. Run it with a 6v NiMh hump pac and so far, its been great.

I would get the cam type servo saver that the 4.6SS came with. Minimum, you need a good saver designed to protect a MG servo. Kimbrough makes a good one that TH sells if you don't want to get the cam type.

You can find the new cam type servo saver off a new Sav on Ebay for cheap.

i plan on getting the hpi cam servo saver, putting bearings in it and using an aluminum center link i found at my lhs(10usd). I use hump/ flat packs in all my rc's since 6volts is much better than 4.8. I also plan on getting replacement gear set for the stock servo i stripped and use it for my throtle/ brake servo as a litte more torque would be nice but i do under stand that it will move my engine and bend the stock linkage set so i also plan on getting the ofna one i saw at my lhs that uses springs and looks to be of much better design.

These servos are a replica of a Bluebird i would not touch these with a barge pole good value for money but do not last thats my own personnal opinion though.

I would go for the Hitec 5998tg servo these are around 63 quid mark and boy do they rock especially if you have the cam servo saver what a beasty they are

Yes these servos will work with stock radio and receiver but you may find it a little more difficult to adjust the end points though thats all;

Yes it has got some torque behind it and improves the turning circle greatly do you have to pay shipping to canada as may be better if you could get 1 from over there
