View Full Version : Crime fighter MT vs Crime fighter 40
Hi all !
What's the advantage to choose one of those 2 tires ? MT serie are norrower and I think they will offer better traction over the 40 serie. Am i right ?
What your experience with those tires ?

40s require different rims too, right?
Yea, 40 series tires require 40 series rims. These are lower profile tires and will aid in handling, as in corners, but less ground clearance. 40's are mainly used for racin, probably, and I do mean probably be better off with MT for bashing.

but now I'm leaning towards the crimefighter MTs. I want something for my local clay track but I don't want them to wear out after a few tanks either.

Those tires won't fit standard savage wheels and then the Hellfire wheels are 17mm instead of 14mm. If I were to race I would get 40series bowties on 40 series dish wheels.

it says on Tower site that they fit 83 x 56mm rims and HPI lists them as an option for all Savage.

thanks. I've called HPI on a few things and most of the time the people I talk to are knowledgeable and courteous. Once in a while you get a dipsh#T, but overall they are help full. Gerry at extension 143 is my HPI guy.
I decided to get crimefighters MT instead of the aggressors because the aggressors are just a little small.
