Genesis radio gear

Hi ...

just broke in my genesis ...truck is great but radio doesn't seem to have much range (about 15 foot max). It is a standard genesis with the 'Impact CIII' handset. is this normal or do i have a problem. tried different batteries etc. :confused:

Rabb, the Impact CIII am radio that ships w/ the standard Gen is junk. CEN upgraded to an FM system w/ the LE and Nemesis models. I had the same problem your having w/ mine so I replaced it w/ a Futaba 3PM Magnum FM and have had no problems since.

I read on one of the other forums that CEN will swap out your am radio for a MX-3 Airtronics for $50. I believe this applies to any CEN product, not just the GENESIS. Give them a call at customer service, I have found them to be very helpful.

Thanks for that Ing ... already been and bought digi fm set, sorted it right out...... bashing in the pouring rain on a muddy field yesterday, brilliant, the genesis seems to do what its meant to!!!! might still give cen a ring about part ex as AM Set is worthless.
