I know they have been promising these for awhile but has anyone actually received one? What is the final production model like? Stringers w/ Aeromarine's rubber isolated motor mounts? What motor did they finally go with? Which tuned pipe?
If no one has received the RTR version, I suspect they can't sell for $379 ready to run and are backing out by not delivering. I figured out for me to buy all parts and put one together using Aeromarine hardware, OS .18 motor, Blazer radio would be $650+. Could this be the reason we haven't seen the RTR version for $379?

Still waiting on the MM??? That discussion started like a year ago +
I myself have been out of the loop for awhile. :( Been super busy, but if the RTR is not out now, I would not hold my breath.

Steve Vacarro has 2 shots of it on his site: www.offshoreelectrics.com but I don't know if he is selling them. You can contact Debbie at www.funrcboats.com also as they were taking deposits on them.

also as they were taking deposits on them.
Were'nt they taking deposits on a waiting list last year?

Yeah, when I was at the Toledo show last year they were taking deposits then as they were expected to be in at the end of May, then October and December.........
If I had laid out any money for one or more of them (some had ordered more than one), I wouldn't be too happy with Remy. He had 3 cargo box loads of them coming in at that time which are like 40 foot semi trailers.

Geesh, sounds like a total headache to me
I think somethings not right, but I kept my money in my pockets so no worries here.
I wish them luck!

Remy told me last April that they were waiting for them to go through Customs at that time, the reason for the delay. Yeah-----right. They musy have been on that slow boat from China that I've heard of.

Received this from Tony at RC fun boats. Apparently they are available now...
-What make is the motor? No name .18 made in China
-is it pull start? Belt start? Pull start
-Does the hull have stringers? Yes
-What type of motor mounts? Aeromarine rubber isolated motor mounts or? No solid alum
-Tuned pipe make? No name
-Is it available in red with the detail kit? Yes
-Is this boat available now? We have a Yellow on in stock
I'm not too crazy about the about the "no name" motor made in China or the "no name" tuned pipe. No information on the radio which is probably another "no name".
I will probably ask for a MM18 hull with stringers and build myself with the .18 OS. Probably will cost 2X as much but as least I'll have a quality boat.

The tentative name for the engine was the Aeromarine/OPS .18 . It does kind of look like an CEN Racing/Kyosho but with a different flywheel. It is kind of similar to the K&B .18 also. Remy never specified as to who made the radio but told me that all radio systems are made by only 3 companies, this one has the looks of an Airtronics Rival from what little that I can see in the shot.
Tom, nice to see you in here again, it's been too long!

Yes, I have been busy, not much time to post as I would like. (1.5yo son, & wife 5mths preg.) so time is of the essence. I do drop in and see whats happening though. Still get out and burn nitro when I can.
Been fishing though, weather is perfect, & the fish are bitting. Love it here in West coast Florida. :)

Tom, don't tease me! I had a chance to come to Florida for my wifes Aunt's wedding (all expenses paid!) April 29th but staying home to keep an eye on the house and dogs. Leaving the crib in the hands of an almost 19 year-old isn't a god idea.

Right, My neighbor was out of town for the past week, watched as 16-18 year olds came & went. Nothing seemed crazy, but I can see through walls. :D
As for the trip, well.......... weather is pretty sweet. Actually my favorite time of the year for getting out on the water. NO RAIN, no humidity, slight breezes, Bahama like clear water, & cold beer. :D Fishing gets better and better as the Gulf warms. If your ever in the neighborhood, give a shout. I'll put you on some fish.
MY Yak in front of the Sunshine Skyway last weekend. Having Margarita's while waiting for the tide to change. I took the pick, my buddy in the background.
Sorry for the off topic :)
