Hi all, I have a 50 inch cat with a weedeater motor.my last boat sank (same size). I didnt use the right amount of floatation. I have 2 cut up pool noodles in the bow. is that enough? what about kids floaties? (goes on thier arms to learn to swim.) does it have to be in the whole boat? what about hot exhaust? Another question i had since my idea for pumping water thru the head to keep it cool while adjusting the motor was thrown out. My carb is set at the start position. (idle screws) I put the boat in and it wont go much over idle at full throttle so it dosent pick up water for cooling. do i just drive it close, turn half turns and let it go and so on? can i get the setting close on shore and put in the water? for how long before it overheats? maybe i dont know as much about boats as i thought. so glad you all are here to help out!!
