I am getting out of RC airplanes and switching to boats. I have a brand new Irvine .46 ABC MKIII with silencer that I was going to use on a new airplane but decided not to build it. I was thinking about building a boat that can run when it's not perfectly flat out.

Can I use this engine in a boat (inboard, outboard)?

What boat do you recommend?

Is there an Almost-Ready-To... kit available?

Thanks,

An airboat only. Irvine's aren't powerhouses that are needed for boats, the wrong timing, tiny carbs and not being water-cooled don't help. The low RPM that they put out, usually in the 12,500 RPM range is awfully slow for a water prop driven boat.
