I just ordered one of these last night and was wondering about gearing. I only plan on using some of the Ni-mh batteries from Associated with 7.2 volts so no fancy Li-po's just yet because I will need a new charger. For gearing right now with my Reedy Mini-Max motor I have a 12t pinion and a 60t spur. Will that work with the brushless system?

Also, for the future could you link me to some sights that have good Li-po batteries for the 18T along with chargers? Just for kicks. :)

8ball,
I have had some gigantic problems with my 18t and brushless. Some people say that they dont have any probelsm, but I do. Every time I rebuild the diffs, they just strip in very little time, like an hour or so. But I use the 6800 and a 7 cell matched pack, the power system is absolutely flawless, but the car in my experiences is not at all designed for a mamba. For a bit more help I would go to a "mini" site.

I would talk to these guys on there. But like I said the mamba is great, but the car isnt designed for that kinda power.

yea, I did mean 6800, not 5400. Wow, I've never heard of a diff gear actually stripping before. I only plan on having a 6-cell in it so maybe I won't have those kind of problems. I hear that some companies are trying to make steel diff gears so we will just have to see about that. Thanks for the advice though.
