How did you guys do it? Thanks!!

First you have to buy an appropriate header, then simple bend a wire mount to attach to the end of the pipe. It's pretty easy once you have the header.

I already have the Tamiya U-manifold but the only non-Tamiya pipe I've found that will fit is the Traxxas N4Tec composite pipe.
Was any cutting or bending involved? And that is the standard Paris AL12 pipe right?
Thanks again!

I think we might have had to cut the header slightly, but I don't recall.

Would you happen to know who on the staff worked on the TG? Thanks.

Hi,
I posted this on another forum, wonder if you guys could help.
Anyone ever tried this setup? I got this LD laying around so I figured I might as well put it on my
TG10. I already figured out the manifold problem. I would cut the manifold that came with the LD
right before it starts to curve toward the back and then rotate the rest of the pipe 180 degrees and
attach with a silicone tube or I don't even have to use the part of the manifold that I cut off, just
what's left of it and then use the FW04(p/n 92971). Or I could even use the tuned muffler from one
of those HPI kits like the Nitro Racer 2. I've looked at the pictures of the tuned muffler from my
HPI catalog and looks like it just might fit on the TG10.
What do you guys think about the HPI tuned muffler? Is it at par with the FW04 stock muffler?
Thanks to all your responses.

Hey isn't there a TGX kit that uses the OS LD engine? If so there just has to be a manifold somewhere. Tri looking around the OS site perhaps.
I hear the FW04 stock pipe is pretty good. Actually hella good. The HPI tuned muffler is better that a canister muffler but nowhere near a tuned pipe. For now (until I get my Integy exhaust) I'm using the Traxxas Nitro 4Tec composite pipe. It fits and they're just about everywhere for free. If you ever get the FW04 pipe tell me how it works out cause I'm looking to get one as a spare.
