View Full Version : Lehner Basic 4200 motor
anyone have any idea how to dissemble this motor?I need to clean the inner motor and replace the ball bearings. Thanks.

the front end of the motor unscrews i think mr constructor had a photo showing this.
what he did was make a metal plate that was screwed onto the motors front like it when its mounted this plat was then used to un screw the front of the motor.
I am not sure which direction you have to rotate to unscrew but i would try counter clockwise first.

Yeah, from what I remember, it's the front part that comes off. Getting it off will probably be a pain though (I would imagine there's probably some sort of loc-tite on the threading or something).
just dissemble the motor, i screw 2 screws on the front and use them as handle to open it up, turn anti clockwise. lot of metal dust inside, could be the dust come from the bearings.... gave it a buggy blast and its spinning freely now :)
