I'm a little biased, but that is a tough combo to beat.......50+mph on long runtimes.

I agree. It's the setup I run in my Rustler, but I use 4s Lipo (14.8v). It really is too much power for a 1/10 2wd truck, and I wouldn't mind bumping down to a 380C 13t motor instead.

tcoleson, what gearing and tires did you use when you gps'd the rustler at 57.6mph?

HPI Yokohoma Geolandar tires, with 26/90 gearing. Surprisingly, the motor didn't get much hotter than it would on 20/90 gearing, which tells me that the sweet spot is somewhere around 22/90. My range was limited because of glitching, but I'm sure it could have gone faster if I had better range.

Now, the 12s's front endbell is giving me problems. It came off, and I JB-welded it back on, but it still comes off. The power of this motor is so much that I am strongly considering a Feigao 380C 13t when I get the money.

I have a 380c 13t I don’t notice much difference between it and my 540 12s. Except the end bell stays on the 13t.

I have the Genesis Truck ESC and love it. It is in my EMaxx. Just got a second one for my Hyper 7 PBS 1/8 scale buggy.

the endbells (front and rear) of my plasma 4400 (feigao 380 9t) came off 3 times. it's a common problem. that was the reason i bought a 380c, but don't forget to tighten the endbell screws. ;)
