Hey D, just like when the green car had a brushed system, the guy we're chasing at RW is running a 27t geared about 5.4 or 5.5. It's really pretty even, but he seems to get cleaner laps some times. I'm just using the kit set up on my 2, and put about 2 degrees pos camber in the left rear and crank the shock adjuster down about 2 turns on the right front, throw it on the rug and go.

HEY BOB THIS IS BOBBY , I RUN MINI COOP AND LOSI LATEMODEL AT RW, I GOT A BLUE 70 BOSS VTA,(GLENS OLD CAR) BUT I RAN A FEW LAPS WITH THE RED CAR AND HE PULLED HARD ON THE STRAITS,I RUN A 50/84 ON A TC4,THATS MAXX GEAR STILL NOT ENOUGH SPEED:confused:21.5 AND 4200 LIPO. I WOULD LOVE TO RUN VTA BUT I HAVE TO FIND MORE SPEED SOMEWHERE,CAR HANDLES GOOD FULL THROTTLE ALL THE WAY....NOT ENOUGH SPEED.

Hey Bobby, yes Don's car does seem faster, but, if we can convince him to touch the wall on most of the laps we'll be ok, hahahaha seriously tho, a 27t/4cell is faster when it's geared at 5.4 or 5.5, my daughters car was. maybe we can discharge Don's batteries a little before the main to give us a chance. I don't know what Don's fast lap was, but I did 5.5 during the main. Bring your car over my pits Saturday and we'll take a look see and maybe find something for you.

thanks bob, i'll take u up on that. my car has 3.0 degrees toe blocks in the rear, i was told go with 2.0 or less? first 4wd i ever had ,dont know alot about'em:confused:

Bobby, I usually run about 1 degree toe in in the rear, it can be a little loose like that, but it reduces the inherent drag a bit,

Big Tc Race At Hobbytown---harris Blvd.


Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that the Hobbytown on Harris blvd., will be hosting a Post Thanksgiving Giving day race, with a Christmas bonus for someone.

The race is on Saturday, December 6th and starts at 11 am, practice starts at 9am.

Race entry is only $5.00, transponder rentals are going to be free, for there first race.

Classes will be, Vintage Touring, 17.5 and 13.5.

2 rounds. Plus mains.

Awards for the top 3 in each class.

25.00, 15.00 and 10.00 gift certificates for the top 3 in each class.

The BIG BONUS, Liem has an Associate 18R that will be raffled to one lucky entrant.

We will have a couple generators, if you want to bring your own you will be more than welcome.

There will be a couple of tables for use, again if you want to bring you own, bring it.

Chris, we had a practice race, there were 5 of us there, Tommy B, Derick, William, Chris and me. Derick ran his vintage with a lipo and 27 Turn, alot more top end than me. We had good close door to door with the 13.5 class. I won't be racing again until after the New Year, So Merry Christmas everone and Have a Happy New Year!!!

I had fun Sunday even though it was just a practice day. My VTA car is pretty dialed. Yeah I did a test run with lipo, 27 turn motor just for fun. I change the gear ratio to adjust for the lipo, i guess that you could say that I had a touring car with the VTA tires and body. It was a rocket. I will change it back so that I can run my 4 cell packs until I get a 21.5 motor. I can't wait untill next weekend.

Hey guys I know there were some asking for a heads up on the next road trip to go run some Carpet.

Tag, Andrew, Marvin S. and myself will be going to "The Track" in Gaithersburg,MD. on Fri. Jan. 2nd for the Full Throttle race.


Tag will be leaving the Char./Concord area about 6am or so on Fri. morning.

Fri. is all day practice and Sat. will be 3 rds. of quals and mains.

hey will, i took a little hacksaw blade and cut two more adj slots in the adj cams and it gave me more adjustment,but its still not as loose as bobs belts:( and i know thats costing me speed so i quess i'll just run it a while and see....still got the ol tc4 to fall back on.if i knew the belts were so tight i would have waited an bought an x ray.......oh well!!hope to see you guys at rw soon

Get you legends car out Tommy, and bring it to the Wood. Ernie and Will were there Saturday and had a big time, ernie made the A in 21.5/2400 pan car and Will did well for his first night with a car he had never driven, he was in the B with us.

I can get the car ready, but them Ni-MH batteries don't work as good as them lipo's. Been a year since they have been touched. I'm waiting on a sizzle and a big pop from them. :)

I'm watching the weather here in town for sunday. But it sounds like RW will have a big turn out. I will hate to wait for sunday and it turns out bad, when I could have raced. It's been over a month for me. so I will know by friday.
