I broke the wire right out from inside the cap and I need a new one. I could find one around I suppose. Are their any ratings I should look for in a new one?

I think Novak has a capacitor replacement kit. I don't know about finding your own cap, someone else will have to help. :)

Which ESC? The SS controller uses a 680uf 16v cap. The GTB uses a special cap/resistor/bundle thingy that is designed specifically for the GTB (don't know what the specs are on it though, sorry). Meaning... if you popped that on your GTB, you just saved your FETs probably (I think the cap bundle is designed to go out first to save the internals). Anyways, tower hobbies sells both cap replacements for either ESC. You can probably get them from an LHS as well.

Its the SS. You think radioshack might have it?
I was running it without it for a while and it just ran horribly glitchy, I thought it was the radio.
I got an old radioshack electronics kit that I'll wade through.

I don't think radioshack has them (at least my local ones don't have anything like that unfortunately). Your RS may have them, or you may be able to order them cheap through them.

I think you're stuck with the 680uF cap. Novak claims that other capacitors wont work as well.
