I've got a Feigao 380C 7T from Starluckrc. It hauls the mail and then some in my MF2. I run GP3300's(7 cells) and kokam 3200 lipos in it(2series).
You should be able to spank just about any nitro truck the same size, you come up against.
Nitros are cool, but I'd rather drive 'em than tune 'em all day. You'll like brushless power...it's pretty awesome. The big thing really is just getting the power to the ground. They generate so much torque it's easy to swap ends if you have a heavy throttle finger.
I'd check out the genesis controllers at starluck as well..I run and older bk7018 which is fine, but the newer genesis' are supposed to be pretty slick.
Watch your differential and clutch settings. It's easy to smoke gears and clutch pads with the monster torque.
I'm not affiliated with Starluck rc in any way, but Jamie is a good guy to do business with and has the gear ! ;)
Your other options would be the novak or sphere "canned" systems as well. They seem pretty good by most accounts but I've never seen one running.

I like the 5800 with a Lipo battery set up
that would save me a little money
but the 5.5 and the GTB are still looking like the way to go
Lipo bats are going to be for sure though
and the Duratrax ICE charger

I would go with the novak gtb or the sphere comp. I wouldn't bother with the super sport system. I would also go with the 6.5 or 7.5 motor, you shouldn't need the 5.5 unless you are on a really large track.

Excellent choices. I use the Ice and li-po with the Novak 6.5 in my Pro-truck. If your racing then I'd go with that. If you just want awesome power for playing or think you can handle it, go with the 5.5. Some of the guys around here use the 5.5 in Stadium truck to race and do fine.

I run 16/87 gearing on my 6.5 in a T4 and it has never thermalled in races up to 20 minutes. I don't even use the fan on the ESC.

One thing Ive noticed about my setup. How hot it gets depends more on how much traction I'm getting than anything else. If my truck is hooking up and wheelying out of every turn and down the straits it runs warm. If traction is poor it will run cool as can be. If it's hooking up on a cold day it will still run warm to hot. If traction is poor on a 100 degree day it will run cool, it's that big of a difference. But regardless, it's never gotten hot enough to thermal

Well the fan on the speed control will help
