it's not that difficult, just takes a bit of patience and attention to detail. here is a good article written by Andy Kunkz:

florida is THE place to run r/c boats. CMDi is there, rumrunner...the list goes on for days. what are you runnin? i may be able to hook you up with some folks, or at least point you in the right direction. and i must make a correction to my last post...i threw an extra "k" into andy's name. it's andy kunz. my keyboard and i don't always get along that well.

I have thundercat by proboat so far so good I got the boat only runing at 31 mph with a new prop panther 225.

RCBM did an excellent atricle on sharpening and balancing props a few issues ago by Rick Eyrich and is by the way, another Floridian.
www.funrcboats.com has an online article also on doing props.
