That's a wildly nice car! Everything is machined without any marring, and it sure looks like $3k. How fast can these cars go? 21 pounds is mightily hefty.

the $3000 hurts me...but it's just so shinny

Those prices are retail, you can find them much cheaper at dealers.

This thing is just completely loaded down with technology and good stuff. Yeah, $160 is a lot for a body, even retail. But...they look.....so sweeet!

again, they are not that expensive. When you look at engine maintenance time being maybe 1/10th the time of a nitro engine, it makes it worth it. The Evo 4 is the high end racer with almost every available option. You can get a good 1/5 onroad for about $900.00 with a body. Check out this site for more info, it is where I get all my stuff www.rcnutshobbies.com

Many racers can use one engine for an entire season with no wear. A piston n sleeve for most are under $100. Factor in parts n such and it still doesn't come close. ;) Regardless $900 is about reasonable for one of those bad boys, but who makes a carrying bag for those huge things?

So the engine wear is noticeably less on the big cars?
Does anyone know how fast these cars go around their tracks? Are they as fast as 1:10? This might be a cool next car in the future. As my mom says, "Start savin your pennies"

It's strange no one has mentioned anything about the tires. The tires on the right are different from the left. I thought these cars are for courses and not oval type racing?

No, nitro onroads are still a lot faster, but the offroads may be about the same. These cars go about 30-45mph. I like the idea of 45minute run times, but just look at the costs for parts n such...it still towers price of RC. I might as well get upgrades for my real car. :D $300 for one hydraulic brake? Hmm...

my offroad goes 50-60mph, the onroads are a little faster depending on if you put a 2-speed(my offroad has it) I have had my engine for over a year now and it has not lost any pep.

My SVM MK.5 does 70+ with a G23ORC on 91 Petro and 25:1 Motul Mixture ..... Sadly I blew a tire and crashed it yet again and it now goes 0 ... lol
Shop around 3k is kinda high, but if you have the cash why not spoil yourself and go for it...
I like the rims on this car .....

These cars are for Touring.. yes.
If you see in the Picture, the Rims on the inside are DRESS-Rims and the Tires are CLEAN.. The tires on the Outside are dirty with track dust.
So we can assume this was a "Quicky" Setup for a Picture, and no one though about the other 2 tires.

it's the same chassis under the two bodies... so they took a left side pic with one body and rims...and then they took the right side pic with the other rims and body
you weren't supposed to notice :D

Speaking of tires I'm having trouble now they want $165.00 for 4 1/5th Scale tries ..... :(
Then you have to know who's supplies them and the majority of hobby shops do not ....

Now that's just crazy...so in reality 5th DOES cost more than nitro vehicles! I mean c'mon $50 for an air filter...thats one for my REAL car.

GRP Ganidi (sp) is now beginning to make it's mark over in the states I found some for around $49.99 a pair. I'm thinking this may be my best bet for tires. I just can't shell out $160-180 a set of 4 wheels .......
