Anyone have any experience with the Giles G-202 .46 size ARF.....Model Airplane News just reviewed the Cox Models version of this ARF and had nothing bad to say about it.

I am an experienced pilot....built and flew a trainer for 2 years before building and flying a 4-star 40.....unfortunately wrecked it a few weeks ago due to a stupid error. Anyway, no time to build another...looking for an ARF this time around and read the article on the Giles 202.

Any pros or cons on how it flies would be great. If I was good with a trainer and a 4 star would I be fine with this plane?

Thanks for any advice!

I just received my Cox Giles G-202 and started to build it. Everything seems to be of quality build. My only complaint is the covering. It seemed a little more wrinkled than I am used to. Using the iron and heat gun works of course but some places pulled away at seams and the clear coating has pulled away from the color. You can't tell really unless you are really looking at it. Very nicely packed and seems to have most extras other planes don't usually have. (Like the nose cone and the dummy cowl.)

Wish I could give you a better idea how it will be, but like I said I just started to build.

A buddy of mine just loves his Giles which is much larger and I also saw that great review which got me to order one.

I know a member at one of the clubs I fly with that is on his second Cox Giles 202 .40 ARF. He bought one and loved it, but crashed it. He ordered a second one to fly while he's repairing the first.

He flew it at our Labor Day air show yesterday during the scale segment:
