i need help with knowing if my boat motor needs a head gasket?[FONT=Verdana][COLOR=Blue]

details? all motors have shims. they can be removed or added to change head clearence for compression. we'll need more info from ya.

it was in a greythunder boat brand new never ran nx.16

the shims should all be good from the factory, in that case. you shouldn't have to change anything.
