I would stick with a single engine monster. The added wieght of a second engine, and fuel tank would seriously limit handling. Also the added head ache of two engines, would put nitro noobies over the edge. I personally haven't driven or heard word about this truck, but I have read reviews on it, and they both mentioned, that it would definently, be for expeirenced rcers.

...If your interested in a twin engine truck, look into the DF Giga Crusher from Kyosho...engines are easy to tune, and you can convert it to a single engine if so desired....not a racer but a great basher...

Twin engines seems like a sweet idea, but the only chassis design I have liked is the Ofna Titan with twin engines. I don't know why.
RCCA made a twin-engined truck based off a Kyosho buggy a while ago, or something like that, or at least they used lots of buggy parts, and it had two Picco .21s, and their reaction was twofold:
1) Insanely fast
2) Hellish to get running, because you have two racing engines to tune!
Cool stuff though.

or if you wanted to you could buy a savage and then get the twin engine conversion kit.

the best idea, is to buy a revo, savage, or a lst2, so i dont start any controversy, and put the biggest engine you can in it, like a .30vg, which has 3 hp, and there are other engines out there that put out close to 5hp with one engine, thats the way id go, i wont go twin engine.

I am also interested in the gtx2. I have and run a twin titan, this was my first nitro r/c and have no problems with engine tuning. If you cant keep your nitro engine running right then you dont want a twin. handling may suffer a bit but most single engine trucks I run aginst are not setup very well and cant hang with the twin..There's always someone faster or bigger or more powerfull just depends on where you line up....

I got a twin titan and a lst2. The lst2 is my race truck and the titan is just for bashing. The best thing about the twin is the sound. You can not beat the sound of the two engines screaming, it give you a rush. as far as tuning it isn't to bad. Tune one shut it off tune the other then start both and a little tweaking and the the sweet sound of twins.

I agree with TRX, you will also save your wallet from being obliterated by the amount of "extra" upgrades you will need to purchase, in order to allow the rest of your vehicle to handle the extra horsepower and weight. Having said that, I custom built a twin-engined Savage for a guy last year....One of the most complicated builds I have done, I have to say. Powered by twin Force .45 Engines, on a Hotbodies LWB Conversion, with mainly 3racing Alloy Hubs, Uprights, Bulkheads and diff housings, and Jumbo Tyres this thing was an imposing beast, not to mention very expensive for the owner to aquire....but hey, when you are willing to go this far, cost doesn't become so much of an issue.
Apparently, when both engines were running, the sound was defening. (..a really quick and effective way to irritate your neighbours..). The owner told me later that wheelies were instant, on-demand, this was a good result because I built the transmission assemblies very solidly to handle this kind of driving (ie; 4 spider diff, alloy diff drum, 8000wt diff oil-REAR/ 5000wt diff oil-FRONT, shimmed and gasket sealed to repell water). To allow the Twin Savage to transfer all that power to the ground in one piece, requires a lot of transmission upgrades, if you want it too last longer than a day. :(
So in summary, go with what TRX suggests you will have just as much fun. :)
Below is a pic of the Twin-Engined Savage.
