This motor looks VERY interesting, i got the urge to just order it on the spot lol.

After some googling, it seemed they arent too great but that is only one person's opinion. Personally, i think it would be awesome if trinity perfected a stocker that had an angled brush hood design (it works well for mods, now to do the same for stocks and up the ante yet again!)

So what do you guys think? Angled brusher a la V2 style for stockers sound like something that can be awesome if harnessed correctly?

Well, it depends on the rules are your track, but team orion makes V2 endbells that can be used on stock motors. http://www.teamorion.com/news.asp?id=324

Unfortunatly most track rules would not permit the use of this combination, but if your just bashing, or if your track does allow it, then its the perfect way to get exactly what your looking for.

Who knows, angled brush hoods might become more common in the future for stock motors, but for now the orion adapter is pretty much your only option.

Actually I doubt it'll happen in general. The KOS motors aren't bad, but the Co27 Trinity came out with does everything it can & more. And until someone can make a stocker with angled brushes do something more than that, I don't see Trinity, Reedy or any other big companies spending the development money on it. Stocks really aren't meant to last forever, they just try to make all the power they possibly can, even though that usually means wearing through brushes like there's no tomorrow(& even the KOS motor has severe limitations with that endbell, because only Integy makes brushes that'll fit it, but those are NOT the best racing brushes for a stocker).....

Well, tracks wouldnt allow it because changing the endbells would be considered "modifying" or because with the endbell that way it wouldnt be ROAR legal?

Anyways, wouldnt a purpose built angled brush motor developed by a big name motor company/developer be optimal? I mean the Cobalt is awesome, but im sure trinity is still looking for more of an edge and that new style angled brush hoods has to be SOMETHING they are looking into for stockers you know?

Would that orion conversion kit thing make the motor better (more power, efficiency, etc)? I mean, the cobalt wasnt designed nor tested with such endbell and i figure theres an equal chance of losing performance as well. Ill be sure to check my track and see if they would let me race with such a contraption.

I mean...imagine the "Cobalt V-Power Ultra Stock" or something. Seriously.

lol :)
