The latest from TC Dynamics:

In-Flight LED LiPo Battery Monitor

The new In-Flight LiPo monitor LED mounts externally to allow the Heli pilot full view of the battery charge condition while in the air. Near the end of discharge cycle a LiPo battery voltage falls off rapidly. The In-Flight LED LiPo Battery Monitor is designed with dual voltage level detection points to accurately indicate the end-of-charge curve. 5 color modes include Blue/Cyan- Good, Yellow/Orange- Warn and Red for Low condition. An ESC module may pulse LiPo voltages below DC levels as much as 15 to 20%. The advanced Pulse Level Detection feature translates the pulse depth effect to an average voltage (color) indication. The result is to optimize flight time but still prevent battery damage due to over-discharge. The device also detects when the load pulse is too severe: a Magenta color indicates a possible overload condition. Don’t fly blind, install an on-board LiPo ‘gas gauge’. Know at a distance where you are in the LiPo discharge curve.

I just bought and installed this in my bi-plane will let you know how it works out.So far in the bench testing (haven`t had any flying weather) looks awesome!! works great very bright, should be easy to see from a distance, i hope.

The " gas gauge works great!! can be seen from far away and instantly lets you know where you are in the discharge curve, great product!!! :D
