hi all i have an aeromarine cyclone 45 with prestwich mod 260 i was wondering what prop i should run on it to get top speed and accelaration thanx in advance..
i am currently running an octura x472 it works well but i need more top end speed come on people help me.........

not a lot of the gas guys have been around much lately, you may have to be patient. what i would do is take a look at an octura prop chart and pick up the props on either side of the one you have and try them out.

Prop Shop 6717/3 or 7015/2 are some of the best for mod 260's in monos, cats, and hydros. 6518/3 is also a good one. Call Bob Austin (The Prop Works) or Chris Hoffman (Dasboata on Jim Boat Dock) to order one sharp, polished and balanced. Also might find them at Thunder Pro in Cherry Hill N.J. (look for their ad in RCBM).
BTW, the Octura X-472 isn't bad, either. Better with a few mods.
thanks guys for your advice i will have alook at the octura propchart and order some props, i will also mod my x472 to see if it makes a difference

X470/3 can also work well, depending on the conditions.
well i managed to mod a prop for the first time it started out as x472 reduced to 68mm diameter with rounded tips removed half the tounge and added a barcutt notch on both sides just need to balance it.
it looks good il try to post a pic of it when i'm finished with it..
