it looks like u had it to lose and it got melted.

A loose adjustment on the spur will cause that problem. I believe that if the clutch shoes are slipping inside the clutch bell that the bell will overheat and can cause that too.

No it would't make the inner part melt. It will make the teeth melt on the spur gear. You just had ur slipper to loose that time.

i have that problem with my Emaxx and ive had the thing as tight as i could get it. so as far as it being too loose, possibly. my suggestion: go to an aluminum or steel spur.

I've had that happen, the spur gear melted right off, it the bolt wasn't on there tight enough. they say skrew it in all the way then back out a little, but i always skrew it all the way in tight and never had problems, i also run a hardened metal spur gear and clutch bell now.
