I'm going to buy the rally conversion kit for my TC3 but I think better shocks are in order. Can I use buggy shocks or something?

Depends if the kit came with the composite or aluminum shock bodies the same shocks will work. Most, myself included use the threaded bodies, and aluminum shock caps. I found the composite shock caps leaked, or didn't thread properly. Even use the threaded shocks on my pan cars.

Will I don't know if the kit will contain composite or alum. shocks yet. As a matter of fact I'm not sure it even comes with shocks.

It comes with shock shafts. Alot of the TC3 rally owners have switched to HPI rally shocks, saying that the HPI units are much better as they are designed for off-road abuse

It comes with shock shafts and soft springs, but my TC3 "rally experience" was a pretty big turnoff, as a ton of rocks kept getting into the steering mechanism and the car always got very dirty. I just gave up rally altogether. I did use the 200mm stuff that came with it though;)
