I have a half empty (half full) gallon of traxxas 20% nitro fuel left from last year. Keep in mind I'm quite the novice also I haven't used it since late fall of last year. Will it still be good to use?. Or do I dump it? I also have new OS engine I just dropped in my Tmaxx, surprisingly that went pretty well.
To dump or not to dump, that is the quetion?

if stored properly (tightly closed, off of the ground, in a dry place, not exposed to extreme temps.) the fuel should be fine. I have had used fuel stored for 2+ years and worked just fine.

dump it and you mise well dump your money! just as zack said, if it was sealed and wasn't sitting on cement the whole time/didn't freeze your good (cement holds moisture)

well if it is bad you can still use it as after run oil.

If you leave it in the original container you'll be all set.
I left some in my Revo gas tank over winter. I started her up in February and she ran sluggish. I put in new fuel and it ran amazing.

NOOO... lol. IMHO just buy after run oil and don't screw around with WD-40, MMO/ATF...

idk if you get rccaraction johnnyrhino but there is a whole section on fuel in it and it says that fuel cannot go bad over time
and never never use old fuel for after run oil the gas has more moisture in it when it goes bad. and the point of after run oil is to ELIMINATE the moisture and prevent crosion that is what WD-40 does eleminates the water so that there is not crosion

it can go bad.. where did you store it?
if you store it on a cold concrete floor over winter, moisture can get in and destroy it.

I have the same fuel from last summer and it runs fine. I have stored it off the floor and kept it airtight so no moisture.

I had it on a bench in my basement. I'm assuming it should be fine then :)

As long as its a cool dry spot off the floor you should be fine one note on storing your car over the winter never leave fuel in the car it's like a sponge and soaks up moisture in the air and can rust and gum up the bearings and crank always run the fuel out of it pull the air cleaner and put some after run oil down the carb and turn the motor over a few times to coat the parts in oil come spring a little fuel down the carb and glow plug it should fire right up and your ready to start another summer of fun. :)
