Hello from Waco,Tx. There is a new hobby shop in town and they are having some races coming up . They have an indoor carper track , with an outdoor track in the planning . Go check them out here (http://www.familyfunspeedway.com) . I mention this here because they have some races upcoming here soon , so go check it out on there site and come on out and help support the only LHS for miles that is supporting the on road crowd as well as some off road and even a helicopter :)
Hope to see you there .

Welcome... We have been in Waco racing at the other shop quite a bit. You guys going to build an off road or oval or anything other than carpet? I know that Waco is small but you can't be that far away from the other hobby shop..

The only other shops I am aware of in the Waco area is Waco Hobby shop that caters to the fliing crowd and the Hewitt shop which caters to the offroad crowd . Where are you talking about ?

I guess it is the Hewitt crowd. they had an oval and an off road about 2 months ago. I do think its cool though that there is another hobby shop there with a different genre of racing.

Yeah I also think its cool :)) very cool actually . I was to the point of thinking I was going to have to drive to Austin to get into any on road action . I think off road is cool and all but not what I really like . The closest I could come to off road would be to do some Rally stuff . I really like the on road stuff though , alot . Anyways come on out man and check the races this weekend . Prob not going to be too big of a crowd but will still be lots of fun .

o yeah when you get there see if you can find me without asking who FocusWRC is hehehe

lemme guess you got a Ford tattoo.. lol..
I played the carpet game for a bit, raced touring cars and 1/12th scale for a while on carpet and asphalt actually. The motor batteyr war killed it for me. So I went nitro. Now that the brushless stuff is FINALLY becoming accepted as well as the new age LiPos's then I'll be back at some point.
