Thanks fmrc! I watch your thread with great interest. We have a small handfull of loyal racers so far. I am hoping to increase those numbers. As the old saying goes, the more, the merrier!
We had a slow start this season, with both rain-outs and even a snow-out of the firts 4 scheduled races.
last race we had a few 1/12th scale cars show up and spark some interest.
Touring Cars have always been the main draw, and we have a few new racers in that class so far this season.
We also added electric Stadium Trucks last race, and those are wild on the paved track. I look to see more trucks racing.
Good luck to you guys! When I am over east, I plan to check your races out.

I'm commin out and as of know still no rain for saturday. it's suppose to rain like crazy tomorrow though. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna get a 4wd buggy and just go with my origanal plan and get a TC. Hey Jason if you ever decide to sell your TC4 and upgrade to a FT TC4 let me know and I'll see if I can buy it from you.
Racing at Bell Chere should be a lot of fun. It will be kinda weird though because of all the people that will be watching (more preasure). The I garuntee all of use that go will get the question "how fast does it go?" asked to use atleast two or three times.

Erik..... Jason may have his TC4 up for sale soon.....*grin*
I guess we had better find out how fast these cars go, so we can answer the questions when the time comes

WHAAA HOOO!! A touring car would be really cool. I would have to work out a deal with him though like making payments or something because I don't have all the money right now (even though I don't know what he would sell it for I know I don't have the money).
Well my sister is a firefighter so she knows plenty of police officers I bet we could get her to let us borrow a radar gun and check the speeds on our cars. :)

That would be great, maybe one of your sis's friends could stop by one of our races and zap the cars with radar and see. maybe even do a few speed runs all the way down the length of all the basketball courts.
I'm not sure what jason is going to do with his TC4, but I believe he will be showing us a new ride come Saturday

or prolly the easiest thing because there are cops all over bell chere would just to ask them to clock us there. Bell Chere is a long ways away though so we'll see.
Oh yea Jason is switching from AE because he doesn't like the idea his money is going out of the country right? or was that somebody else? Well if so then that really only leaves The Losi JRX-S. Really cool design with the battery in the middle.

i looked at the losi's, and passed. my new ride comes from i believe holland.. yes my tc4 is for sale. start saving you allowance...i'll bring it saturday so you can see what a fine car you might one day own... my buds in tallahassee regularly radar their cars in the 40mph range.. that's the electric ones...

I just realized I have more money then I thought. If the car is around the $100 range I can afford to buy it from you. I don't want to buy it this weekend just to make sure in case I did my calculations wrong. Plus I am giving my 1/12th scale to Bob to sell on Ebay tomorrow so I will have even more money after it's been sold. If you find somebody else who wants to buy it though go ahead and sell it to them.

i'll bring it, but i have no idea what i want for it yet.. i also have a novak gtx esc, n-power supply, and some other stuff...

gtx is sold... i think our next race is the 10th.. bob? we've been getting a good little crowd lately and having an absolute ball on the high bite surface. touring is 19t and open, and we also have a burgeoning 12th scale class and a "run-what-ya-brung" class so come on out! our new layouts are in the 100'x60' range with relatively flowing layouts. lap times are in the mid teens so you get to drive with a lot of rhythm... also of note is WE GOT POWER FINALLY.. come on out even if it is just to watch or say hello..

Yeah everybody come out and say hey. I wont be able to come out until the race right before Belle Chere because I'm gonna be gone every weekend that we are racing but I'll be open for most of the weekends that we're not... Oh well. Hey Jason what kind of tires do you use because I will need some in not to long. Now since it's gotten hotter are 27 compound still about right or should I go with something higher? Also do you use 24mm or 26mm wheels?
tallyrc
06-04-2006, 09:22 PM
i use the take-off cs27's but when it gets hot the 32's will still be fine on our surface.. the brothers have run some different tires with good luck, but i can't remember which...

I just bought a set of Take Offs, 27s, down in Easley, a new set of 4 mounted is $35.00. We'll have to ask what the Flying Dillow Bros use, maybe Tamiya?
Next race is June 10th, next Saturday! First race of the best 4 out of 5 points series.

Man I'm gonna miss almost all of the points races... oh well. Is the Bell Chere race gonna be a points race and are we gonna race on both days or is one day gonna be race day and one day be play day? I think we need some crazy jumps for the trucks to go off of. I think somebody needs to jump one of our coverings, that would be pretty cool.
