Hey guys, this summer I want to go to a track with my buddies but I am not sure what is good and what is not. Also, where are the closest tracks. Any help would be great. Thanks

I am about 25 miles north of chicago Thanks

I'm not sure myself about your area but I have seen some other tracks in the DeKalb area or Joliet. I think some of the other post actually have mentioned it.

unless its a bunch of guys getting together to bash around, there is nothing "organized" or a dedicated track in your area on or offroad :(

if you find different, please post it here!

on that note, if you are willing to make a day of it and travel on the highways, you will find one of the great tracks already listed in this forum... goodluck

Not sure of the skill level of the original poster but there's also Hobbytown stores that hold parking lot races using transponders.

I think the Crystal Lake HT would be about a 40 minute trip for someone from Glenview....

Yeah, I live close by. Try Venture Hobbies. Take Dundee out west. Go past the Chevy dealership, past Milwaukee, past a school, past a church, and it is on the right on the east side of an intersection in a store complex. www.venturehobbies.com .

Also, there's HobbyTown USA on Milwaukee by Jerry's market. Milwaukee and Oakton. Here, there are races every weekend in the parkinglot.
